FIBER OPTIC ATTENUATORS
All Systems Broadband is proud to announce the addition of fiber optic attenuators to our high-quality line of fiber optic products. Fiber optic attenuators are used to reduce optical power levels when too much light would overload the fiber optic receivers. In order to achieve the best bit error ratio (BER), the optical power must be maintained within the dynamic range of the receiver. All Systems Broadband fiber optic attenuators fit the requirement perfectly.
FIBER OPTIC ATTENUATORS

Attenuators are like sunglasses, they absorb extra light energy and protect your fiber optic receivers from being overloaded. Attenuators have a working wavelength range in which they absorb the light energy equally. All Systems Broadband attenuators do not reflect the light; instead they absorb the extra light without being damaged. The light power used in fiber optic communications is fairly low and can be absorbed without noticeable damage to the attenuator itself.
Commonly known as bulkhead connectors, these attenuators have 1 male and 1 female end and have an actual operation wavelength between 1200 - 1600nm.
